While black tea comes from the same Camellia sinensis plant as all true teas, it's the oxidation and processing that set it apart. Premium black teas are withered, rolled, fully oxidized, and then fired to lock in flavour — a process that develops their signature dark brown to black leaves and warm, toasty character.
